IDT develops, manufactures, and markets nucleic acid (DNA) products that support the life sciences industry.
IDT manufactures products used in diagnostic tests for many forms of cancer and most inherited and infectious diseases. In addition, researchers involved with the National Institutes of Health Human Microbiome Project are using our products to further the understanding of human microbiota diversity.
IDT’s oligonucleotides are instrumental for decoding genomic DNA from the millions of crop varieties around the world, helping to develop crops that will withstand droughts, diseases, and pest outbreaks. Other research supported by IDT products include wide-ranging biodiversity projects from the role of bacteria in limiting greenhouse gases to sustaining biodiversity in groundwater and seed banks.
